Speaker’s Bio

A few decades ago John took a Summer job in the grain room at the Chicago Board of Trade. He was to start a career as a teacher and coach but was drawn by the excitement of the trading pits and the competitive environment the exchanges had to offer.  He stayed. He worked his way up the ladder to become a successful broker, analyst and educator.
After attending the Market Logic School in the mid 80's his passion for trading grew.  Getting back to his roots, he began to educate professional traders promoting a practical approach to trading.
While servicing institutional traders in the pits of the CBOT and CME, John created the Vertex training program.  These classes are designed to teach charting techniques and fundamentals that are vital to develop strategies for the beginner to seasoned trader.
John publishes daily commodity market updates that include unique graphs. The charting software, Macrograph was developed to allow a new trader to compete with the pros.
In 2017 he was asked to be the futures coach at MTM Inc.  He shares over 30 years of experience while conducting daily classes where traders learn to define and refine their personal trading style.
