Our April 25th webinar with John Clayburg will focus on "Creating and Trading Self Optimizing Trading Systems".
John has been programming and trading "self optimizing" systems for many years now. This webinar will an introduction to the theory behind these systems and how he uses them every day.
As far as John knows, this approach is not being taken for any other systems available for the retail trader.
John Clayburg has been developing TradeStation automated strategies since the mid 1980's. A great deal of this time has been used to create self optimizing systems.
Frequently the familiar fixed variable systems will perform well for a period of time after which performance may go on a steady decline as the market personality regularly shifts and turns.
Self optimizing systems have the ability to monitor multiple systems created for specific market scenarios. When a subsystem is found to have superior performance compared to the others, the base trading system automatically adopts the critical system variables being used by the superior subsystem and switches to these variables for he main system.
In this manner a system has the ability to adopt the best of the subsystems for the strategy that is actually trading.
